The E-Discovery Essentials Online Training is an introductory course for persons entering the e-discovery field and professionals who would like to broaden their knowledge of the e-discovery process. From preparation, to collection, to review of Electronically Stored Information (ESI), this course covers the entire e-discovery process.

Throughout the 17 modules and tests, learners will progress through the basics of e-discovery preparation, best practices for ESI collection and, finally, the review process. E-Discovery Essentials will take approximately twelve hours to complete.

Knowledge Assessment and Tracking

Throughout the ACEDS E-Discovery Essentials course, each module is concluded with a set of comprehensive review questions to effectively assess a learner’s comprehension and recall of the material presented. Each question includes detailed feedback to a learner’s response to reinforce their learning and contribute to their knowledge retention.

To successfully advance to the next module, a learner is required to view and interact with the core learning object and complete the summative quiz. To ensure ease of convenience, a learner can pause and resume their learning at any time.

This course is designed to track the advancement of each learner, allowing them to view their progress at any point. In addition, designated administrators may also track user progress, including quiz scores and module completion. This function is ideal for organizations that wish to administer training internally.
